INDIA MARK V VLOM
Deep Well Hand Pump

The India Mark V VLOM hand pump incorporates the latest R & D developments in hand pump technology. It is based on non-corrodible below-ground components, using modern lightweight engineering plastics such as µPVC Riser Pipes and Fibre Reinforced Glass (FRG) Connecting Rods. The use of FRG connecting rods has been developed in association with SKAT*, Switzerland. The pump's design features substantially improve maintainability while meeting the requirements of working in adverse water quality and water table conditions. The pump is also available in the conventional Galvanised Iron (GI) Riser pipe and Cast Iron (CI) cylinder combination.

These pumps have successfully completed field trials in Andhra Pradesh, India and have been used in India and Africa.

FEATURES
	Modified head and handle assemblies to provide 175 mm stroke length. This provides a water discharge of 1050 litres per hour.
	50 mm GI or µPVC Riser pipes with rubber pipe centralisers makes the riser pipe string lighter reducing static loads.
	50 mm Open Top Cylinder - C.I. / µPVC body with brass liner.
	Using Universal Cylinder components: Single piece cast gun metal Monolithic Plunger and Check Valve assemblies. Tool-less (hand fitted) Nitrile rubber pump bucket on Plunger. Tool-less interchangeable Nitrile rubber Bobbin Valves.
	Lightweight FRG rods which simplify withdrawal of cylinder parts for easy maintenance. These rods are recommended for cylinder installations beyond 45 m depth.
	An installation depth range of the cylinder between 15 m to 90 m below-ground level.
	Special tools and Standard tools for installation, Masonry tools and Shuttering for Platform construction are available. Also, Fishing tools, Village level maintenance tools and Spare parts kits for two or five years' normal operation can be supplied.
	This hand pump using 50 mm NB GI Riser pipe with CI brass lined cylinder and galvanised MS Connecting Rods is manufactured as per the Bureau of Indian Standards' specifications IS 13056.
